I think i have a male calico cat, any way to know for sure?

i have a kitten hes deffinitely a boy, hes only 8 days old, so im not sure what his colloring will do, but hes all white except on his head and on his head is a patch of butterscotch with undertones of a blue gray fur. the mom is all white with a gray spot on her head and the father (im guessing) is one of the orange cats in the nieghborhood. i heard someone say that his markings wld b considered a diluted calico, or pastel calico, can anyone help me on this?
