If a calico tabby (torti) female and a pure black male had kittens, what would they look like?

It is something like 95% of all calico's are female because females can have up to 3 different colors as where males can only have 2 (it is something like that), so chances are the males will be black like the dad and the females have a much higher chance of looking like the mother. When my friends cat had kittens, the mother was spotted gray and white and the father was stripped like a tabby. All of the kittens came out looking like the mother except one that looked exactly like the father. It is all a little chance.
