If a pure black male and a female calico mated, what would the kittens look like?
They would come out in all different varieties of colours and patterns. You might get some grey tabbies and some orange torties... Another calico in the litter isnt likely due to the fact that the father would have to have a recessive calico gene. Which most cats don't have. Its also unlikely that they would have another black cat. Their fur would also likely come as different lengths. The mother of my kittens was a grey tortie. She had a grey tabby, a black one, a black and cream whorled one, an orange tabby, and an all white one.. The orange and grey ones were short haired, the black one and white one ended up medium haired, and the whorled one ended up long haired. I own the whorled one and black one. Calicos are almost always girls, males, if they appear, are normally sterile and cant produce offspring. However I have owned 4 calico males in my life, and one of them, magically impregnated one of our females. We didn't get him fixed because we assumed he was sterile.
