Information about cat breeds and colours?

I recently discovered what calico and tortieshell mean (~sort of). I want to find out more about cat breeds and their colours and personalities but every site I visit is not very detailed and I don't understand some stuff they say either. Is there like some sort of cat breeding standards website which tells you all bout this stuff but is REALLY basic. Like that explains that blue is actually a sort of grey blue colour and red actually means orange and cinammon is light orange brown...
