Domestic short hair cat questions and care?

I'm not getting a sphynx I can't find one so I have gone for domestic short hair. Cause all the kittens I want are DSH . I already have a Calico cat called Ginger Lynn. And I'm getting a new kitten of my own. Ginger is the family cats o this will be my cat. can you give me information about DSH and tips on. Care? Thanks!
