What gender kitten will get along best with my cat?

I have a 5 year old domestic short hair tabby cat. My mom told me i can get one of my friends kittens, they are around 6 - 7 weeks old. They are calicos and even though they are mainly females, if i have a choice which gender will get along best with my cat?
